Ichabod Crane dropped a decision to Hoosic Valley by 12 points 50-38, at the Maple Hill tournament.
The Indians closed out the contest with clutch play as they eclipsed the Riders by 5-points at the critical stage of the game.
Hoosic Valley were strong out of the gate and played excellent team basketball on their way to a nice first quarter lead 13-7. They put together an imposing effort guarding the hoop and were in command during the frame.
The contest was a toss up as the teams went to the first half recess with Hoosic Valley gaining the upper hand.
Hoosic Valley managed to be ahead at all period ending horn by separations of 6, 4, 7, & 12.
Hoosic Valley placed three players in double figure scoring. Isaiah Eckler paced Hoosic Valley with 17 points. Logan Reilly powered in 16 points. Jeff Finkle added 10 points.
The Indians splashed 4 baskets from behind the three point line.
Daniel Warner helped the cause for the Riders with 11 points. Avery Clickman contributed 9 points. Alex Schmidt connected on 8 points. Dylan McCrudden notched 6 points.
