Shaker edged Niskayuna 45-37 in a Grade A Suburban Council. The Blue Bison relied on their steady second half play as they led at the end of the third quarter and at the final flip of the hourglass.


Shaker held a modest 1-point edge at the start of the second quarter.

The contest was a toss up as the teams went to the first half intermission with Niskayuna gaining the upper hand.
Niskayuna played team basketball in the second stanza turning a 1-point first quarter deficit into a 2-point halftime edge.

The Blue Bison came through with inspired basketball out of the locker room, after being behind at the half, which enabled them to commandeer the lead 30-23 going into the final quarter.

The offenses were ingnited in the fourth quarter as they generated a robust 29 points.

Kristine Foglia and Emily Satterday sparked the offense for Shaker with 10 points each. Kaelah Carter tallied 8 points.
Shaker used expert marksmanship to make 5 trifectas.

Olivia O Meally led Niskayuna with 12 points. Heather Schmidt secured 6 points. Sophia Boler poured in 6 points. Rebecca Schmidt scored 6 points.


Niskayuna shot outstanding from the charity stripe as they made 70%, 7 of 10.
