Averill Park edged Burnt Hills 50-41 in a fixture that most local high school basketball followers imagined would come down to the final buzzer. Both teams left it all on the court. Nicholas Galuski was a catalyst for the winners with 20 points.

The Warriors generated a game changing eight-minute rally as they eclipsed Burnt Hills 16-6 in the closing minutes. They survived this tough encounter.

Burnt Hills held a small 1-point lead at the beginning of the fourth quarter. This battle of wills felt like a clash of the titans through the first twenty-four minutes of action.

The Spartans held a modest 2-point edge at the beginning of the second stanza. The end result was still uncertain as the teams went to the first half intermission with Burnt Hills out in front.
