Averill Park edged Burnt Hills 61-53 in what turned out to be a mammoth test between the lines of two of the top team in Class A. Amelia Wood and Michelina Lombardi combined to score 41 points for the Warriors.

The opening two quarters were ultra competitive as the teams went to the first half intermission with Averill Park out in front.

Averill Park capitalized on gritty play in the third quarter and outscored Burnt Hills by 7 points.

The Warriors were in control at each period ending horn by margins of 5, 5, 12, & 8.

Averill Park had a triplet in double figure scoring. Amelia Wood showed the way for Averill Park with 22 points. Michelina Lombardi contributed 19 points. Tatiana Tune totaled 10 points.
Averill Park splashed 5 hoops from long range.
Michelina Lombardi made 3 three-pointers.

Burnt Hills had a foursome in double figure scoring. Callie Chevalier helped the cause for the Spartans with 14 points. Carlie Rzeszotarski got in the book with 11 points. MK Lescault accounted for 10 points. Ella Blesi dropped 10 points. Grace O Connor popped in 7 points.
The Spartans shot exquisite from the charity stripe as they produced 90%, 9 of 10.
