Mayfield slipped past Berne-Knox 61-51 in a high end Capital Region basketball run-in. Fans could not have been disappointed as the contest lived up to its pre-game expectations between two contenders in Class C. Kelsey Meca and Cloey Dopp combined to score 44 points for the Panthers.
Mayfield held a slight 4-point advantage going into the final frame.

The Panthers finished the game in great form as they went past the Bulldogs by 6-points at the cruicial moment of the contest.
Mayfield dominated the first half and led 31-20. The Panthers performed effectively in the second stanza turning a 5-point first quarter lead into a 11-point halftime advantage.
Berne-Knox were benefitted by a robust performance in the third quarter and outscored Mayfield by 7 points.
The Panthers were in control at every quarter buzzer by leads of 5, 11, 4, & 10.
Berne-Knox produced a rally in the second half but they came up short.
Kelsey Meca was a catalyst for the Panthers with 23 points. Cloey Dopp powered in 21 points.
Cloey Dopp nailed 3 three-pointers.
The Panthers shot with great fundamentals from the charity stripe as they produced 67.9%, 19 of 28.
