Mekeel Christian tipped Mayfield 43-31 in a high energy Section 2 hoop affair. A. Mills paced the victors with 18 points.
The Lions were strong out of the gate and started the game in style racing to a nice first quarter lead 14-3. They put together an extraordinary defensive effort and took control of the quarter. Mekeel Christian jumped out to a comfortable margin at the break 26-12.
The Lions used a tough hard-nosed effort in the third quarter and outscored Mayfield by 7 points.
Mayfield clawed back in the final quarter but they ran out of time.
The Lions were on top at every quarter buzzer by margins of 11, 14, 21, & 12.
A. Mills led Mekeel Christian with 18 points. J. Ballard netted 10 points. M. Show had 8 points.
Mekeel Christian made 6 hoops from deep.
Katie LaGrange paced the Panthers with 10 points. Lindsey Hampton powered in 7 points. Brianna Hubiak collected 6 points. Kelsey Meca had 5 points.
