Averill Park beat Colonie 55-38 in a lively Suburban Council basketball match up. Amelia Wood helped the cause for the Warriors with 24 points.

The Warriors were charged up from the opening whistle and bolted out to a hefty first quarter lead 15-8.

Averill Park opened up a sizable halftime advantage of 33-14. The Warriors played solid as a rock in the second stanza turning a 7-point first quarter lead into a 19-point halftime bulge.

The Warriors managed to be ahead at each quarter stoppage by advantages of 7, 19, 18, & 17.

Amelia Wood paced Averill Park with 24 points. Taylor Holohan knocked down 13 points. Michelina Lombardi tallied 9 points.
The Warriors shot with first-rate accuracy from the charity stripe as they made 77.8%, 14 of 18.

Colonie placed three players in double figure scoring. Jayla Tyler helped the cause for Colonie with 16 points. Ava Pearson scored 10 points. Gabby Martin collected 10 points.
Colonie shot excellent from the free throw line as they produced 80%, 8 of 10.
