Mayfield narrowly held off Saratoga Catholic 64-55. Kelsey Meca and Cloey Dopp combined to score 49 points for the Panthers.
The Panthers stormed out of the locker room and darted in front to gain a significant first quarter lead 14-8.
The outcome was still in limbo as the teams went to the first half intermission with Mayfield nosing in front.
The Panthers were in command at each period ending horn by margins of 6, 4, 7, & 9.
Kelsey Meca showed the way for Mayfield with 25 points. Cloey Dopp contributed 24 points.
Mayfield buried 10 baskets from downtown.
Cloey Dopp made 5 three-pointers. Kelsey Meca added 4.
Saratoga Catholic had a triad in double figure scoring. Katie Cronin helped the cause for Saratoga Catholic with 18 points. Ashley Upson secured 15 points. Allison Motler netted 14 points.
