Taconic Hills suffered defeat to Maple Hill by 3 points, 52-49, in a Patroon Conference cage match.
The Wildcats came up with a final stanza counterattack as they out-shot Taconic Hills 20-10 as the clock struck midnight. That run iced the game.
Sparked by a great team effort in the second half Maple Hill outscored Taconic Hills 32-20 in the final two quarters. That was reverse of the first half when Taconic Hills darted out to a 29-20 lead at the midway point.
Taconic Hills performed effectively in the second stanza turning a 5-point first quarter lead into a 9-point halftime advantage.
Ben Marra helped the cause for Maple Hill with 16 points. Brady Cole poured in 11 points. Ethan Harrington tallied 7 points. Colby Frazier popped in 6 points.
The Wildcats knocked down 4 hoops from long range.
