Albany edged Guilderland 59-51 in a Class AA opening round game. Isaiah Austin led the way for the victors with 23 points. The Falcons will face Shen at HVCC on Saturday 2/26 in the quarter final round.
Albany went off in a crunch time push as they eclipsed Guilderland 15-7 as the clock struck midnight. That run iced the game.
The contest was a toss up as the teams went to the first half stoppage with Albany out in front.
The two squads refused to give ground through three quarters as the score was tied at 44.
