The Mighty Warriors lost against Averill Park by 31 points, 76-45, in a Class A playoff match up. Nick Carbone and Nicholas Galuski combined to score 43 points for the winners. Averill Park moves on to the quarter final round vs #2 seed Hudson Falls on 2/27 at HVCC.
Averill Park had great energy right from the tip off and played excellent team basketball on their way to a hefty first quarter lead 20-8.
The Warriors dominated the first half and led 37-21.
Averill Park capitalized on gritty play in the third quarter and outscored Mohonasen by 11 points.
The Warriors were on top at all period ending horn by leads of 12, 16, 27, & 31.
Averill Park placed three players in double figure scoring. Nick Carbone showed the way for Averill Park with 23 points. Nicholas Galuski knocked down 20 points. Dan Coiteux tallied 10 points. Ethan Nardacci finished with 9 points.
