With the teams tied at the end of regulation play the game went to overtime where The Cadets overtook Niskayuna 7-4. They survived this tough encounter.

Focused play in the second half helped as the Cadets outscored the Silver Warriors 39-31 in the final two periods and (OT). That was contradictory to the first half when the Silver Warriors darted out to a 20-15 lead at the midway point.
