Amsterdam won in a tight fit over Scotia 76-61 in an intense Section 2 Class A sectional match up. Fans could not have been disappointed as the contest lived up to its pre-game expectation. Ceasar Thompson was outstanding for the Rams stepping up big-time with 34 points. Amsterdam built on their unwavering second half play as they led at the end of the third frame and at the concluding flip of the hourglass.
Amsterdam held a slight 4-point advantage at the start of the fourth quarter. This duel was headed towards an epic finish through the third frame. However, the Rams concluded the tilt with authority as they outscored the Tartans by 11-points at the critical stage of the game. They now advance to play Gloversville in the semi-final round on 3/3 in Glens Falls
