Gloversville were cut down versus the Sawyers by 6 points, 54-48, in one of the top games of the day.
The Sawyers were strong out of the gate and started the game in style racing to a nice first quarter lead 16-7. They put together an imposing defense and took control of the quarter.
The Sawyers used a tough hard-nosed effort in the third quarter and outscored Gloversville by 5 points.
Gloversville clawed back in the final quarter but the seconds ticked away hurting any chance of a comeback.
Saugerties were in front at every quarter buzzer by margins of 9, 10, 15, & 6.
Erin Dudzic paced the Sawyers with 15 points. Anna VanRoy contributed 11 points. Jackyn Murphy scored 8 points. Grace VanRoy accumulated 8 points.
The Sawyers buried 4 buckets from jimmer range.
Harmony Philo led Gloversville with 26 points. Daley Jo Christman racked up 10 points. Kendra Lavery poured in 6 points.
