Albany seized a down to the wire victory over Shenendehowa 58-52 in the Class AA championship game. Shonyae Edmonds played great for the victors leading the way with 21 points.
The Falcons held a slim 4-point margin going into the final frame. This battle of wills was headed towards an epic finish through the first twenty-four minutes of action.
Defense reigned supreme in the 2nd quarter as the teams scored a scant 13 points. The outcome was still in limbo as the teams went to the first half break with Albany out in front.
Offense out shined the defense in the third quarter as the teams combined for a high octane 45 points.
Albany were in control at all quarter stoppage by advantages of 4, 5, 4, & 6.
