Ichabod Crane won an instant classic versus Catholic Central 51-50 in the Class B title contest. Brett Richards put forth a strong offensive game for the winners with 27 points and 14 rebounds. Richards took home MVP honors for the classification.
Ichabod Crane were strong out of the gate and started the game in style racing to a significant first quarter lead 16-8. Yet, The Crusaders perked up in the second quarter and outscored Ichabod Crane by 6 points.
The two squads struggled to grab a foothold as the teams went to the first half locker room break with Ichabod Crane nosing in front.
Ichabod Crane were benefitted by a robust performance in the third quarter and outscored Catholic Central by 4 points.
