After the final stanza came to a close the teams were still tied the contest went to overtime where The Black Horses outshined Broadalbin-Perth 5-2. That final push proved to be the difference.

The Patriots held a modest 3-point edge at the start of the fourth quarter. This battle of wills felt like a clash of the titans through the first twenty-four minutes of action.

Both teams scratched and clawed to score the ball in the opening quarter as they combined for barely 10 points. But, Broadalbin-Perth used an impressive first eight minutes and started the game in style racing to a decent first quarter lead 8-2. 

They used their eye-catching defensive prowess and were in command during the frame. Yet, The Black Horses recovered in the second quarter and outscored Broadalbin-Perth by 6 points.

The contest was a toss up as the teams went to the first half stoppage with the game tied 13-13.

Broadalbin-Perth came through with inspired basketball coming out of the break, after being all knotted up at the half, which enabled them to commandeer the lead 25-22 moving on to the last quarter.

Carson Patrick led Schuylerville with 11 points. Luke Sherman splashed in 10 points. Owen Sherman collected 9 points.
