Northville bested Canajoharie 61-33 in Section 2 basketball play. Hailey Monroe and Hannah Hoffman combined to score 46 points for the winners.
The Falcons used a monster second half as they were laser focused in victory.
Northville concluded the tilt in great form as they eclipsed the Cougars by 19-points in crunch time.
The Falcons bolted from opening whistle and took hold of the ball game on their way to a significant first quarter lead 14-3. They limited their opponent with a marvelous defensive effort and were in the drivers seat throughout the period. Yet, The Cougars had a resurgence in the second quarter and outscored Northville by 6 points.
Defense reigned supreme in the 2nd quarter as the teams scored a scant 14 points.The contest was a toss up as the teams went to the first half breather with Northville grabbing a slight lead.
Northville maximized their play in the third quarter and outscored Canajoharie by 4 points.
The Falcons were out in front at each frame finishes by advantages of 11, 5, 9, & 28.
Hailey Monroe showed the way for Northville with 27 points. Hannah Hoffman chipped in 19 points.
The Falcons produced 9 hoops from long range.
