Niskayuna tipped Queensbury 46-28 in a Section 2 hoop run-in. The Silver Warriors desired result depended on their tenacious second half play as they led at the end of the third quarter and at the final flip of the hourglass.
Niskayuna were assertive second half as they fired on all cylinders.
Niskayuna finished the game in splendid fashion as they overshadowed Queensbury by 11-points at the pivotal point in the game.
The Silver Warriors bolted from opening whistle and took hold of the ball game on their way to a significant first quarter lead 14-7. They relied on their stout defense and were in command during the frame. Yet, The Spartans regrouped in the second quarter and outscored Niskayuna by 9 points.
The contest was a toss up as the teams went to the first half recess with Queensbury ahead by a small margin.
Queensbury played solid as a rock in the second quarter turning a 7-point first quarter deficit into a 2-point halftime upper hand.
