Mayfield defeated Johnstown 72-8 in Section 2 basketball play. Cloey Dopp and Jaidyn Chest combined to score 41 points for the victors.
Mayfield poured it on in the second half as they coasted to victory.
The Panthers stormed out of the locker room and took hold of the ball game on their way to a significant first quarter lead 25-5. They denied access to their hoop like a fortress and imposed their will in the quarter.

Mayfield placed three in double figure scoring. Cloey Dopp was a catalyst for the Panthers with 23 points. Jaidyn Chest scored 18 points. Abigail Chest poured in 10 points. Adriana Yuret dropped 9 points. Isabella Capano chipped in 8 points.
The Panthers shot with exceptional form at the stripe as they showed out at 66.7%, 8 of 12.
The Panthers managed to be ahead at each quarter buzzers by separations of 20, 35, 51, & 64.
