Albany Academy outlasted Columbia 54-50 in a marquee Section 2 hoop tug-of-war. Stylianna Mantzouris helped the cause for the Bears with 22 points. The Bears relied on their tenacious second half play as they led at the end of the third period and at the game ending flip of the hourglass.
The Bears held a modest 2-point edge at the beginning of the fourth quarter.
