SPORTS STAFF 

Johnstown dropped a decision to the Lions by 10 points, 67-57, in a Class B semi-final sectional match up. Avery Mills and Mikyla Mitchell combined to score 50 points for the Lions.

With the teams tied at the end of regulation play the tilt went to overtime where Mekeel Christian went past Johnstown 13-3. They survived this tough encounter and advance the championship on Saturday at Hudson Valley Community College versus Mechanicville

The Lady Bills produced a last period surge getting the better of the Lions 14-10 to force the extra session. 
Mekeel Christian held a modest 4-point edge at the beginning of the fourth quarter. This duel felt like a clash of the titans through the third period. 

Mekeel Christian had great energy right from the tip off and sprinted out to a decent first quarter lead 21-11. 

Johnstown put together a comeback attempt in the second half but they came up short.

Avery Mills paced the Lions with 31 points. Mikyla Mitchell contributed 19 points. Promise Mitchell had 8 points. 
Mekeel Christian connected on 5 buckets from long range. 
The Lions shot with skillful form at the charity stripe as they produced 70.4%, 19 of 27. 

The Lady Bills placed three players in double figure scoring. Jaden Willson led Johnstown with 17 points. Abby Vandewalker scored 16 points. Anna Lee added 12 points. 
Johnstown drained 11 buckets from beyond the arc.
