Hoosic Valley won a nail-biter versus Maple Hill 40-37. The Indians relied on their solid second half play as they led at the end of the third period and at the final flip of the hourglass.
Both teams scratched and clawed to score the ball in the opening quarter as they combined for only 12 points. Maple Hill held a small 2-point lead at the start of the second quarter.

Both teams scratched and clawed to score the ball in the opening quarter as they combined for only 12 points. Maple Hill held a small 2-point lead at the start of the second quarter.
The contest was a toss up as the teams went to the first half locker room break with Maple Hill nosing in front.
Offense out shined the defense in the third quarter as the teams combined for a robust 29 points. The Indians exhibited great effort out of the locker room, after being behind at the half, and snatched the lead 30-25 going into the last quarter.
The Indians had a trio of players in double figure scoring. Mackenzie Seales led Hoosic Valley with 13 points. L. Czub scored 12 points. Anna Jensen netted 11 points.
Isabella Seeberger paced Maple Hill with 9 points. Becca Hall added 8 points. Jenna Hoffman scored 7 points. Rachael Frazier notched 7 points.
Maple Hill buried 5 baskets from long distance.
