Averill Park defeated Troy 60-46 in a hard fought Suburban Council game between Class A contenders. Kelsey Wood led the Warriors with 24 points on her Senior night. Wood and fellow Senior Lindsey Hitchcock were honored before tipoff. 

After the high scoring first quarter where the teams combined for 37 points, 
Averill Park held a small 3-point lead heading into the second quarter.
Troy was able to tie the game at 21-21 after a Jaylei George basket with just under six minutes left in the half. However, The Warriors finished the frame strong and built a ten point lead at the break 38-28. Closing the quarter on an 11-3 run.

Averill Park used a tough hard-nosed defensive effort in the third quarter and outscored Troy by 6 points to push their lead to sixteen headed into the last period. The Warriors held the Flying Horses to four points in the stanza.

Averill Park were in control at every period ending horn by margins of 3, 10, 16, & 14. 

The Warriors placed three players in double figure scoring. Kelsey Wood paced Averill Park with 24 points. Amelia Wood contributed 13 points. Anna Jankovic totaled 12 points. 

Jenalyse Alarcon led the Flying Horses with 16 points. Jakaiya Dewer powered in 9 points.
