The #4 seed Cannoneers took the loss vs. the #13 seed Golden Knights, 53-48, in a Class B opening round tilt. Esiasyn Starr lit up the scoreboard for the Golden Knights leading the way with 26 points, including clutch play late in the fourth quarter to seal the win. Bishop Gibbons will face #5 seed Fonda in the quarter-final round on 2/24 at HVCC.

Bishop Gibbons extendend their lead to six points, 24-18, at the half. Right after the break Watervliet's Daheem Wilson scored his 1000th career point. However, the Cannoneers still trailed by eight heading into the final quarter, 40-32.

 A sluggish start to the fourth quarter for Bishop Gibbons enabled Watervliet to get their deficit down to one point when Daheem Wilson made a bucket with 2:43 left in the game to give the Cannoneers the lead. A three pointer by Matthew Wistuck extended the Watervliet lead to four points, 47-43 with less than two minutes left which capped off an 11-1 run after trailing 42-36.
 
A Lincoln Baldwin basket tied the game for the Bishop Gibbons at 47 with 1:08 left in the game. Esiasyn Star powered in a bucket with less than a minute left and made clutch free throws propelling the Golden Knights to 10-1 scoring run to close out the game.

Bishop Gibbons were ahead at all quarter stoppage by plus 5, 6, 8, & 5.

Esiasyn Starr put forth a strong offensive game for the Golden Knights with 26 points. Lincoln Baldwin secured 12 points.
Bishop Gibbons shot stellar from the foul line as they produced 76.5%, 13 of 17.

Daheem Wilson paced the Cannoneers with 27 points. Matthew Wistuk added 12 points. Kasiah Poole totaled 6 points.
The Cannoneers splashed 4 hoops from behind the arc.

Stillwater beat Coxsackie Athens 60-50 in a Class B sectional quarter-final round match up. Miranda Price led the charge the group that came out on top stepping up big-time with 25 points. The Warriors now take on the top seed Albany Academy on 2/25 at HVCC.

Stillwater held a slight 3-point advantage at the beginning of the second stanza.

The Riverhawks trailed 29-23 at the break.

Stillwater used a tough defensive effort in the third quarter and outscored Coxsackie Athens by 8 points giving them some breathing room.

The Warriors managed to be ahead at all quarter stoppage by margins of 3, 6, 14, & 10.

Stillwater placed three players in double figure scoring. Miranda Price showed the way for Stillwater with 25 points. Addison Thornton added 16 points including clutch free throws in the fourth quarter. Ana Parella bagged 11 points.
The Warriors produced 7 trifectas.

Stillwater shot with sterling accuracy from the free throw line as they churned out 67.9%, 19 of 28.

Duanesburg coasted to victory over Schoharie 82-43 in Section 2 Class C sectional play. Jeffrey Mulhern and Ethan Thompson combined to score 49 points for the Eagles. They advance to play Berne Knox at the Cool Insuring Arena on 2/26 for the right to play for the title.

The Eagles bolted from opening whistle and rushed out to a first quarter lead 26-12.

Duanesburg found themselves in a great position at the midway point ahead 44-23.

The Eagles asserted their dominance and led at all quarter buzzers by advantages of 14, 21, 33, & 39.

The Eagles placed three in double figure scoring. Jeffrey Mulhern guided the Eagles with 25 points. Ethan Thompson netted 24 points. Jansen Proulx bagged 11 points.
Duanesburg manufactored 15 trey balls.

Berne-Knox beat Saratoga Catholic 67-53 in a Class C quarter-final fixture. Shane Kirker was an offensive spark plug for the Bulldogs with 23 points. Berne-Knox built upon their consistent second half play as they led at the end of the first twenty-four minutes of action and at the final horn. The Bulldogs take on Duanesburg on 2/26 at the Cool Insuring Arena in the semi-final round.

Berne-Knox held a slim 1-point margin at the commencement of quarter two.
The two squads struggled to grab a foothold as the teams went to the first half breather with Saratoga Catholic out in front.

Berne-Knox grabbed control of the game coming from the locker room,after trailing in the first half, which helped them capture the lead 44-38 going into the last quarter.

Berne-Knox had three shooting stars in double figure scoring. Shane Kirker led Berne-Knox with 23 points. AJ Wright added 15 points. Blake Shaver had 10 points. Dayne Coates knocked down 9 points. Arlan Wright chalked up 8 points.
