Gloversville slipped past Schuylerville 63-54 in a tilt that most local high school basketball followers expected to be a showdown of two quality teams. Joseph Rowback and Dante Bouchard combined to score 47 points for the victors.

The Dragons used an impressive first eight minutes and darted in front to gain a significant first quarter lead 20-12. Yet, The Black Horses rallied in the second quarter and outscored Gloversville by 7 points.

The contest was a toss up as the teams went to the first half intermission with Gloversville nosing in front. However, Gloversville took advantage of a strong third quarter and led 49-40 headed to the fourth quarter.

The Dragons used a tough hard-nosed effort in the third quarter and outscored Schuylerville by 8 points.

Gloversville were on top at every period ending horn by margins of 8, 1, 9, & 9.

Joseph Rowback paced the Dragons with 25 points. Dante Bouchard contributed 22 points. Anderson Jones had 7 points.
The Dragons drained 5 baskets from long distance.
Gloversville shot with superb accuracy from the charity stripe as they made 75%, 12 of 16.

The Black Horses placed three players in double figure scoring. Stratton Sherman led the Black Horses with 18 points. Nicholas Budesheim secured 13 points. Cayden Rutland finished with 10 points. Paul Harshbarger totaled 6 points.
Schuylerville splashed 6 trey balls.
Stratton Sherman nailed 3 three-pointers.
