Columbia grabbed the win over Burnt Hills 63-44 in a Class A sectional quarter-final matchup.  Alivia Landy and Kendyl Ouimette led the victors on offense stepping up big-time as they combined for 36 points. Columbia moves on to play top seeded Averill Park at HVCC on February 28th at 6 p.m.

The Blue Devils stormed out of the locker room and started the game in style racing to an ample first quarter lead of 20-5. They put together an imposing effort guarding the hoop and grabbed control of the frame.

Columbia dominated the first half and led 35-17.
 
Burnt Hills played much better in the second half but everytime they cut their deficit near ten points Columbia made some clutch plays to extend the lead.

The Blue Devils were in control at all quarter stoppage by advantages of 15, 18, 18, & 19.

Columbia had three shooting stars in double figure scoring. Alivia Landy guided the Blue Devils with 19 points. Kendyl Ouimette added 17 points. Sarah Rainville bagged 10 points. Sophie Bissaillon popped in 8 points.
Columbia made 5 baskets from behind the three point line.
Kendyl Ouimette made 4 three-pointers.
The Blue Devils shot with sterling accuracy from the free throw line as they churned out 76.9%, 20 of 26.

Grace O'Connor paced the Spartans with 17 points. Ella Blesi registered 13 points. Peyton Felix added 6 points. MK Lescault dropped 5 points.
Grace O'Connor nailed 3 three-pointers.

A dominant third quarter propelled Colonie to a 56-41 victory over Albany on Friday night in the Class AAA Semi-Final round. The Raiders built an early lead and put the game out of reach with a decisive 25-point surge after halftime. The Wolf Pack move on to face Shaker in the Championship game at HVCC on 3/10 at 7:45 pm. This is a rematch of last year's final with Colonie trying to repeat as champions.

Colonie set the tone early, jumping out to a 15-6 lead in the first quarter. Albany fought to stay in the game, closing the gap slightly by halftime, but Colonie's explosive third quarter proved to be the difference. The Raiders outscored Albany 25-13 in the period, allowing them to cruise through the final minutes despite scoring just four points in the fourth quarter.

Colonie was led by Olivia Hoffman and Ella Trimarch each with 17 points. Aliyah Pearson netted 8 points.

Azera Gates paced Albany with 11 points. Janae Byrams and Jasanii Francis-Torres each had 8 points.

Top seed Duanesburg stayed undefeated as they chalked up a victory against Galway 63-34 in Class C sectional play. Jeffrey Mulhern was a walking bucket for the group that came out on top leading the way with 20 points. The Eagles move on to the semi-final round and face Berne-Knox at Cool Insuring Arena on 2/27 at 8 p.m.

Duanesburg stormed out of the locker room and took hold of the ball game on their way to a generous first quarter lead 16-6. They restricted their opponent with a magnificent defensive effort and were in command during the frame.

The Golden Eagles lost ground 31-12 at the half. Duanesburg performed effectively in the second stanza turning a 10-point first quarter lead into a 19-point halftime edge.

Duanesburg asserted their dominance and led at all quarter buzzers by advantages of 10, 19, 21, & 29.

Jeffrey Mulhern showed the way for Duanesburg with 20 points. Ethan Thompson netted 9 points. Peyton Fall scored 8 points.
The Eagles made 8 baskets from downtown.
Duanesburg shot excellent from the charity line as they were efficient at 68.4%, 13 of 19.

Thomas Villano and Josh Lovelass sparked the offense for Galway with 8 points each. Casey Clarke poured in 6 points. Christopher Maher scored 4 points. Zach Kenyon contributed 4 points.

Greenwich won a nail-biter versus Hoosick Falls 57-53 in a tough as nails Section 2 Class CC sectional match up. The Witches advance to the semi-final round vs Stillwater at Cool Insuring Arena on 2/27 at 6:30 p.m.

The Witches went off in a crunch time recovery as they out-shot Hoosick Falls 20-10 as regulation came to an end. That burst enabled them to celebrate the outcome. With just under three minutes left in the third quarter Greenwich trailed by ten points, 41-31. They then turned the game upside down by going on a 22-4 run from late in the third period until late in the fourth quarter.
 
Even after that Greenwich run Hoosick Falls still had an opportunity to tie the game in the final seconds, trailing 56-53, but their three point attempt didn't connect. These two Wasaren League rivals battled each other the entire contest.

Focused play in the second half helped as Greenwich outscored Hoosick Falls 37-26 in the final two periods. That was the inverse of the first half when Hoosick Falls darted out to a 27-20 lead at the midway point.

Both teams scratched and clawed to score the ball in the opening quarter as they combined for only 17 points. But, The Panthers had great energy right from the tip off and darted in front to gain an ample first quarter lead 12-5. They put together an imposing effort guarding the hoop and were in command during the frame.

Jacob Ziehm guided Greenwich with 17 points. Joe Skiff secured 16 points. Robert Barnes netted 9 points. Ryan Alling totaled 8 points.
Greenwich made 7 trifectas.

Jake Sparks ignited the offense for Hoosick Falls with 34 points. Aiden Fleming poured in 10 points.
