Chatham beats New Lebanon to kickoff 2018-19 basketball season.

 

 -Chatham used pressure defense to spark a 15-0 run, over a 7 minute span between the 1st and 2nd quarters, to take control of the game and win 63-47.

 

 

-The Panthers placed 3 in double figures and led by as many as 35 points. They were paced in scoring by JayShawn Williams with 19 points, Kaleb Taylor with 16 points and Keon Armstrong with 11 points.

 

 

-New Lebanon fought back in the 4th quarter behind a 21-0 run to cut the lead to 14 points, however that would be as close as they would get in the 2nd half. The Tigers were led by Clayton Erickson with a game high 26 points. Cole Erickson added 8 points.

 -After a Nick McCart free throw, with just over a minute left, gave Averill Park its first lead since early in the 1st quarter Avery Pascucci nailed a clutch runner with 0:59 left in the game to give the Warriors the lead for good. Averill Park rallied from 11 points down in the 3rd quarter and used a 16-0 4th quarter scoring run to win 51-44.

 

-Avery Pascucci led Averill Park with 17 points. Zach Price added 12 points.

 

 

-Keegan Zoller led Ballston Spa with 17 points. Luke Alteri chipped in with 10 points. The Scotties used a tenacious zone defense to build a 13 point 1st half lead. They ran into some foul trouble in the 2nd half and even with going 4+ minutes without a bucket in the 4th quarter still had a chance to win in the closing minute.

Maple Hill knocks off Hudson in Patroon Conference opener.

 

 -.Maple Hill's Lydia Chittenden hit a three pointer late in the 3rd quarter to break a 27 all tie igniting a 15-1 surge sending the Wildcats on to a 50-34 victory. The game featured 11 lead changes through the first 19 minutes of the game but Maple Hill never trailed again after breaking the tie at 27.

 

-Natasha Strock of the Wildcats led all scorer's with 14 points and added 9 rebounds. Lydia Chittenden added 10 points.

 

 

-Hudson was paced by Nya Robinson's 11 points. Shayna Coppersmith chipped in with 7 points but went down with an injury and played limited minutes in the 2nd half.
