Game Flow

Bishop Gibbons wins a nail biter over Cobleskill to advance in the Section 2 Class B tournament.

(Game notes, play by play & full game video highlights)

-In a game that featured 22 lead changes, and no lead bigger than 7 points by either team, you would expect the game to have been decided in the final seconds. That's exactly what happened at the end of a wild back and forth 50 point 4th quarter.

-Brennan Loder of Cobleskill scored with under a minute left to give the Bulldogs a 1 point lead (69-68).

After a timeout and empty possessions by both teams, Bishop Gibbons was able to hold for the last shot. Nacier Hundley hit Todd Williamson with a nice feed for a bucket and a foul to give the Knights a 1 point lead 70-69 with 11 seconds left.

Williamson couldn't convert on the free throw but teammate Dion Sexton gathered the rebound and was then fouled. Sexton made both free throws to give Bishop Gibbons a 72-69 lead with under 0:10 left in the game. After a timeout, then a loose ball, then another timeout Cobleskill had 1 last chance with 0:03 seconds left to try and tie the game. The Bulldog's Brennan Loder had a good look from three-point range but it rattled out as time expired giving Bishop Gibbons the 72-69 win.

-Noah Foster scored a game high 25 points for Bishop Gibbons. Todd Williamson and Dion Sexton chipped in with 10 points each.

-Brennan Loder paced Cobleskill with 19 and Donovan Pacatte added 17.
