Amsterdam slipped past New Hartford 68-59 in a non-league match up. Andie Gannon led the winners with 29 points.The Rams built on their consistent second half play as they led at the end of the the third frame and at the final buzzer.
Amsterdam had great energy right from the tip off and started the game in style racing to a significant first quarter lead 20-14. Yet, New Hartford rallied in the second quarter and outscored Amsterdam by 6 points.
The opening two quarters were ultra competitive as the teams went to the first half stoppage with the game tied 31-31.
Amsterdam exhibited great effort out of the break, after a tight game at the half, which helped them capture the lead 52-46 going into the final quarter.

The Lions poured it on in the second half as they played superb in the win.
Mekeel Christian held a modest 2-point edge at the beginning of the second quarter.
Mekeel Christian used a tough hard-nosed effort in the third quarter and outscored Burnt Hills by 15 points.
The Lions were in front at every quarter buzzer by margins of 2, 9, 24, & 26.

Hoosick Falls outlasted Mohonasen 59-56 in the opening round of the Kirvin Cup. Madeline Walker and Logan Thayne combined to score 37 points for the Panthers. Hoosick Falls built on their tenacious second half play as they led at the end of the third frame and at the closing buzzer.
The Panthers held a small 2-point lead at the start of the fourth quarter in a game that feature 20 lead changes. Sophie Estes steal and hoop gave the Panthers the lead for last time with less than thirty seconds left in the game.
Mohonasen held a slim 1-point margin at the start of the second quarter.
Hoosick Falls had a trio of players players in double figure scoring. Madeline Walker paced Hoosick Falls with 19 points. Logan Thayne powered in 18 points. Sophie Estes netted 10 points. Marley McLellan tallied 8 points.

The Mighty Warriors fell to Niskayuna by 13 points 58-45, in a high energy contest. Sean St. Lucia and Ethan St. Lucia combined to score 39 points for the victors.
Niskayuna finished the game with clutch play as they outscored the Mighty Warriors by 7-points at the critical stage of the game. Mohonasen closed the gap to five points with less than two minutes left in the game but Ethan St. Lucia nailed a three pointer to give Niskayuna a needed cushion.
Both teams scratched and clawed to score the ball in the opening quarter as they combined for merely 12 points.
The two squads struggled to grab a foothold as the teams went to the first half intermission with Niskayuna nosing in front.
The Silver Warriors used a tough hard-nosed effort in the third quarter and outscored Mohonasen by 4 points.
The Silver Warriors were in front at every period ending horn by margins of 4, 2, 6, & 13.
