Waterford led from start to finish versus Germantown 62-39 in the Waterford Holiday Tournament that was rescheduled from late December. Gavin Bodah and Derrick Pontore combined to score 41 points for the Fordians.
The Fordians fired on all cylinders right from the jump and sprinted out to a hefty first quarter lead 17-4. They used a lock defense and were in command during the frame.
Waterford found themselves in a great position at the midway point ahead 31-14.
Germantown regained some traction in the second half and played inspired ball despite their deficit.
Waterford managed to be ahead at each quarter buzzer by separations of 13, 17, 17, & 26.
Gavin Bodah paced the Fordians with 23 points. Derrick Pontore contributed 18 points. Connor Kennedy scored 8 points.
Waterford buried 10 buckets from long range.
Derrick Pontore made 3 three-pointers.
Brad Del Pozzo sparked the offense for Germantown with 17 points. Owen Watson racked up 9 points. Mason Ferrer poured in 5 points. Dylan Dibble had 4 points.

Voorheesville prevailed over Coxsackie-Athens 59-40 in a non-league contest at the Waterford Holiday tournament that was rescheduled from December 28th. Carson Carrow paced the Blackbirds with 20 points.
Voorheesville ended the game with clutch play as they outscored the Indians by 10-points in the fourth quarter.
The Blackbirds were charged up from the opening whistle and bolted out to a decent first quarter lead 19-8.
The Blackbirds were in control at each quarter buzzer by advantages of 11, 12, 9, & 19.
Carson Carrow took control of the offense for Voorheesville with 20 points. Jack Barringer racked up 10 points.
Voorheesville buried 4 baskets from downtown.
Dillon Hynes paced the Indians with 20 points. Jordan Williams poured in 8 points. Robert Hughes Jr. connected on 6 points.

Coxsackie-Athens closed their double digit first quarter deficit to four points 21-17, late in the first half, but the Blackbirds closed the half on an 8-0 run to expand their lead. Jack Barringer stole the ball right before the end of the frame and broke free for a dunk to put an exclamation point on the first half for Voorheesville.
The Blackbirds were in control at each quarter buzzer by advantages of 11, 12, 9, & 19.
