Maple Hill seized a down to the wire victory over Hoosick Falls 54-47 in the Class C sectionals. The Wildcats were clutch from the free throw line late in the fourth quarter to seal the victory. They avance to play Corinth in the quarter-finals on Wednesday February 23rd.
 
Maple Hill led from start to finsh but Hoosick Falls refused to go away quietly as they rallied a couple of times from double digit deficits. The Panthers closed the gap to three points, 41-38, early in the fourth period. Maple Hill's Bella Seeberger responded with five consecutive points for the Wildcats to extend the lead back to eight points. The Panthers wouldn't quit and made another charge after a Olivia Estes hoop they got as close as four points, 48-44, with just over three minutes left in the game. However, that was as close as Hoosick Falls would get.

The Wildcats performed well in the second stanza turning a 4-point first quarter lead into a 10-point halftime advantage. Their defense in the passing lanes was effective in limiting Hoosick Falls on the offensive end of the floor as they extended their lead.

Maple Hill were in command at all quarter stoppages by margins of 4, 10, 10, & 7.

Isabella Seeberger and Addison Loszynski paced Maple Hill with 12 points each. Alyssa Martin tallied 9 points. Sydney Rogers accounted for 9 points. Sophia Chevrier powered in 6 points.
The Wildcats produced 9 hoops from long range.
Alyssa Martin made 3 three-pointers. Sydney Rogers added 3.

Olivia Estes helped the cause for the Panthers with 24 points. Amber MacNeil got in the book with 13 points. Ava Case collected 7 points.

Fonda beat Catskill 68-47 in Class B sectional quarter-final play. Kyla Smith played expectionally well on the attacking side of the floor for the Braves leading the way with 19 points. The #6 seeded Braves move on to play #2 seeded Mechanicville on March 1 at Averill Park.

The Braves secured the win in splendid fashion as they surpassed Catskill by 15-points in crunch time. They held Catskill to two points in the fourth quarter to pull away for the victory.

The Cats had some work to do after being down 37-26 at the half.
Fonda produced as a complete unit in the second quarter turning a 5-point first quarter lead into a 11-point halftime bulge. The Braves connected on six first half three pointers to give them a cushion.

The Cats used a tough hard-nosed effort and fought back in the third quarter and outscored Fonda by 5 points.

Fonda were in command at all quarter buzzer by margins of 5, 11, 6, & 21.

The Braves had a foursome in double figure scoring. Kyla Smith sparked the offense for the Braves with 19 points. Kieonna Christmas racked up 16 points. Quincy Lake accounted for 14 points. Carly Atty tallied 13 points.
The Braves knocked down 8 buckets from long range.

Fonda shot with first-rate accuracy from the the line as they produced 75%, 12 of 16.
 
The Cats had a triplet in double figure scoring. Janay Brantley paced Catskill with 23 points. Hannah Konsul knocked down 11 points. Ava Edmonds connected on 10 points.
The Cats produced 4 trey balls.
Janay Brantley made 3 three-pointers.
Catskill shot stellar from the charity stripe as they made 75%, 9 of 12.

Albany slipped past Bethlehem 46-34 in a Class AA quarter-final sectional match up. The Falcons turned up the defensive pressure in the second half holding the Eagles to thirteen total points after the break. They advance to the semi-final round where they'll play Shaker on March 3 at HVCC.

Albany held a small 2-point lead heading into the second quarter.

The two squads struggled to grab a foothold as the teams went to the first half break with Albany gaining the upper hand.

The Falcons were in control at all period ending horn by margins of 2, 5, 8, & 12.

Shonyae Edmonds sparked the offense for the Falcons with 15 points. Cassidy Foley poured in 9 points. MeChalle Cancer connected on 8 points.
Albany made 4 hoops from behind the arc.
Cassidy Foley made 3 three-pointers.

Caroline Davis led the Eagles with 10 points. Kaitlyn Robbins registered 7 points. Eleanor Cerf accounted for 5 points. Maren Louridas totaled 5 points. Lidia Boucher knocked down 4 points.

Averill Park got a down the the wire non league win over Mohonasen, 40-39, in a Coaches vs. Cancer game at the UHY Center on the campus of Siena.

Justin Matthews made 1 of 2 free throws to give the Warriors a 40-39 lead late in the contest and the Averill Park defense forced a turnover with .05 seconds left in the game to hang on for the victory. 

Jacob Phelps had 13 points and Tyler Bradley 12 points for Averill Park and Jordan Knight had 20 for Mohonasen.
