Duanesburg didn't waste any time grabbing their place in the Class C title game as they jumped out to a 43-3 lead on their way to a 59-25 win over Berne Knox. The Eagles will play Greenwich in the Class C Championship game on 3/2 at HVCC. This will be the third year in a row that Greenwich and Duanesburg will meet to advance out of the section to regional play. Duanesburg won two years ago and the Witches handled business last year.

Allison O'Hanlon knocked down seven first half three pointers on her way to 34 points. Ella Raymond added nine points and Alex Moses eight points.

Anne Lendrum paced the Bulldogs with 8 points. Molly Shaver and Olivia Kirker chipped in with six points each.

Greenwich secured their place in the Class C title game with a 48-30 win over Maple Hill. The Witches take on Duanesburg on 3/2 at HVCC. This will mark the third straight year that Duanesburg and Greenwich will play for the right to advance to regional play. Each team has a win over the other in the last two championship games.

Greenwich grabbed the lead 14-3 after one period, 27-9 at the half, and 41-19 after the third quarter.

Adrianna Rojas led the victors with 15 points, Brooke Kuzmich scored 13 points and Grace Autiello with 10.

Addi Loszynski and Rosilee Forrest paced the Wildcats with 8 points each. Kate Brodzinski popped in 7 points.

Holy Names won a down to the wire contest versus Broadalbin-Perth 63-60 to advance to the Class A title game on Saturday vs Catholic Central at HVCC. Sophia Bologna led the victors with 25 points. 

 
Sparked by a great team effort in the second half the Panthers outscored Broadalbin-Perth 40-32 in the final two frames. That was the inverse of the first half when Broadalbin-Perth scurried out to a 28-23 lead at the midway point.

The Panthers held a small 1-point lead heading into the fourth period. The game went back and forth throughout the final frame as both teams seemed to answer everytime the other scored. Broadalbin Perth took a two point lead after a Summer Perry three pointer with 2:12 remaining in the game, 55-53. Sophia Bologna nailed a three pointer for Holy Names with 1:24 left to give the Panthers a 56-55 lead. Ryan Carrol added a three pointer for Holy Names with 46.9 seconds left to extend the lead to four points. The Patriots weren't done as Macie Perry hit a three pointer to cut their deficit back to one point with 40 seconds left. Ryan Carroll then hit another three pointer for Holy Names with 20.3 seconds left to extend the lead back to four points. After trading trips to the free throw line where Broadalbin cut the lead back to three points their last second attempt to tie was off the mark.

Broadalbin-Perth were strong out of the gate and started the game in style racing to a significant first quarter lead 14-7. They relied on their robust defense that forced Holy Names into early turnovers.

The contest was a toss up as the teams went to the first half recess with Broadalbin-Perth nudging ahead.

The Panthers played better out of intermission, after being behind at the half, which helped them capture the lead 43-42 heading towards the last quarter.

Holy Names had a triplet in double figure scoring. Sophia Bologna sparked the attack for the Panthers with 25 points. Morgan Brewer chipped in 17 points. Ryan Carroll bagged 14 points.
The Panthers splashed 12 buckets from long range.
Sophia Bologna made 5 three-pointers. Ryan Carroll added 4.
Holy Names shot with great fundamentals from the charity line as they produced 78.6%, 11 of 14.

Broadalbin-Perth had a trio of players in double figure scoring. Summer Perry led Broadalbin-Perth with 16 points. Mairead Marsden racked up 14 points. Camille Calderone added 11 points. Molly Russom bagged 9 points.
The Patriots drained 9 baskets from behind the three point line.

Boys

Loudonville Christian used a 31-17 scoring surge in the second and third periods to secure their spot in the Class D title game with a 64-45 win over Argyle. Jared Pratt led the Eagles with 17 points, Chistian Staton added 14 and Michael Marshall 11 points. Jack Bibighaus scored 9 points and had 15 rebounds.

Brandon Saunders and Ben Cutbert netted 10 points each for Argyle.

North Warren rallied from a halftime deficit to pull away from Fort Edward 55-41 and move on to the Class D title game vs Loudonville Christian. It's a rematch from the opening game of the season where the Eagles knocked off the Cougars of North Warren.

 Semaj Cuyler and Derrick Tyrell scored 22 points each to lead North Warren. Tyrell added 14 rebounds.

Fort Edward was paced in scoring by Calvin Boucher 16 points, and Daniel Boucher 10 points.

Mechanicville beat Schuylerville 64-52 to advance to the Class B championship game on 3/1 vs. Stillwater in Glens Falls. The Red Raiders strong finish to the second quarter helped give them some breathing room at the half leading 32-25. They kept that margin throughout the second half.

 Mechanicville placed three players in double figure scoring. Austin Rozowiz 19 points, Cruz Goverski 16 and Colin Richardson 14. Goverski pulldown 16 rebounds.

Luke Sherman scored a game high 26 points for Schuylerville.

 Northville knocked off Saratoga Catholic 50-23 to move on to the Class D championship game vs. Bishop Gibbons on 3/4 at HVCC. Hailey Monroe scored a game high 34 points in the win.

Sophia Ryan popped in 12 points for the Saints.

Catholic Central were dominant in a 68-41 win over Schalmont to move on to the Class A title game vs Holy Names on Saturday at HVCC. 

The Crusaders rushed out to a 14-5 lead after the first quarter, 35-11 at the half, and 52-29 after three quarters.

Tanavia Turpin led Catholic Central with 19 points, El'Dior Dobere and Kristen Foglia added 17 points each.

Karissa Antoine netted 16 points for the Sabres. Arianna Brandon had 9 points.
