Stillwater won the grudge match vs. Maple Hill 58-53 in the Class CC/C playoff game. The teams had met twice this season, prior to tonight's contest, with each team winning a game on their opponent's court. C.J. Mcneil led the way for the Warriors stepping up big-time with 19 points including a game sealing steal and basket with 0:10 left in the fourth quarter. Stillwater advances to NYSPHSAA regional play on Saturday at HVCC.

I had mentioned in the recap after their second game, at Maple Hill, that these two teams had legitimate title aspirations. Well, they both won their respective classifications to set up a winner take all third encounter. These were two well coached and evenly matched teams that went head to head for thirty-two mintues in the Class CC/C title game.

Stillwater used a fourth quarter comeback as they out-scored the Wildcats 19-11 by the conclusion of the frame.

Maple Hill held a slight 3-point advantage at the beginning of the fourth quarter. This contest was a back and forth battle through the third frame. The game featured eleven different lead changes on the night.

The end result was still uncertain as the teams went to the first half locker room break with Maple Hill nosing in front.

The Wildcats performed effectively in the second stanza turning a 5-point first quarter deficit into a 1-point halftime edge.

Stillwater had a trio of players in double figure scoring. C.J. Mcneil paced the Warriors with 19 points. Lukas Lilac poured in 17 points. Jaxon Mueller connected on 10 points.
The Warriors made 4 baskets from downtown.

Brady Cole helped the cause for the Wildcats with 16 points. Benjamin Marra registered 13 points. Landon Flach collected 8 points. Luke Hoffman tallied 8 points.
