 - The back of the Albany Academy warm-up jerseys had a message saying "All IN" signifying a team motto hoping to win the 2018-19 N.Y State Federation title after a disappointing loss at the buzzer in last year's game. Well, mission accomplished for the Cadets as they defeated Frederick Douglass Academy 75-49 for their third Federation title in four years and fourth overall.

-Albany Academy jumped out to an 11-0 lead, paced by nine points by August Mahoney on three treys, and led 44-13 at the half. The first half ended with a great sequence for Academy that showed the type of determination, hustle, and teamwork the Cadets played with on this day. August Mahoney near mid-court found Riley Mulvey, in the lane and in traffic, who then kicked it to Rob Brown for the buzzer beating corner three pointer.

- Frederick Douglass outscored Albany Academy in the second half, 36-33, but their first half deficit was too big to overcome.

- August Mahoney led the Cadets with 24 points on eight three pointers, Rob Brown had 16 points and Andre Jackson added 13 points including four crowd pleasing dunks.

-Ferderick Douglass also placed three players in double figure scoring led by Derek Mejia with 14 points, Jonathan Delacruz and Abubakar Kromah both had 10 points.
