Mohonasen conquered Ichabod Crane 58-35 on the hardwood of Section 2 basketball.
Both teams scratched and clawed to score the ball in the opening quarter as they combined for just 12 points. But, Mohonasen used an impressive first eight minutes and sprinted out to a hefty first quarter lead 9-3. They put together a magnificent defensive effort and took control of the quarter.
Mohonasen dominated the first half and led 25-11. The Mighty Warriors played as a complete unit in the second frame turning a 6-point first quarter lead into a 14-point halftime edge.

Green Tech nosed past Mekeel 75-61 in a non-league tilt.
Green Tech used a monster second half to break open a close game that featured 10 early lead changes and collected the victory. The Eagles outscored the Lions 52-35 after halftime.
Green Tech held a slight 4-point advantage at the start of the fourth quarter. This duel was headed towards an epic finish through the third frame. Green Tech ended the game with authority as they outscored Mekeel by 10-points in crunch time.

Amsterdam slipped past New Hartford 68-59 in a non-league match up. Andie Gannon led the winners with 29 points.The Rams built on their consistent second half play as they led at the end of the the third frame and at the final buzzer.
Amsterdam had great energy right from the tip off and started the game in style racing to a significant first quarter lead 20-14. Yet, New Hartford rallied in the second quarter and outscored Amsterdam by 6 points.
The opening two quarters were ultra competitive as the teams went to the first half stoppage with the game tied 31-31.
Amsterdam exhibited great effort out of the break, after a tight game at the half, which helped them capture the lead 52-46 going into the final quarter.
Amsterdam had a quartet of players players in double figure scoring. Andie Gannon paced the Rams with 29 points. Sydney Hoefs added 14 points. Sierra Goodson scored 11 points. Jackie Stanavich finished with 10 points.
The Rams connected on 7 buckets from beyond the arc.

Columbia edged past Averill Park 72-60 in a hard fought Capital Region basketball match up. The final result was anything from a forgone conclusion for the majority of the game. Frank Rainville paced the winners with 38 points.
The Blue Devils used a monster second half as they pulled away for the comeback win. They rallied from being down fifteen points multiple times in the first half. (25 to 10 and 35 to 20)
The Blue Devils used a fourth quarter push as they eclipsed Averill Park 27-14 as regulation came to an end. That burst enabled them to celebrate the outcome. Frank Rainville nailed back to back three pointers in the fourth quarter to help extend a two point Columbia lead to eight points with just under four minutes left in the game.
The Warriors held a slight 1-point advantage heading into the fourth quarter. This battle of wills was a war on the floor through the third frame.
Sparked by a great team effort in the second half Columbia outscored Averill Park 45-21 in the final sixteen minutes. That was different than the first half when Averill Park built a 39-27 lead at the midway point.
The Blue Devils used a tough hard-nosed effort in the third quarter and outscored Averill Park by 11 points.
Frank Rainville led Columbia with 38 points. Owen Stefanko secured 11 points. Noah Monpoeho netted 9 points. Timothy Strevell totaled 8 points.

The Lions poured it on in the second half as they played superb in the win.
Mekeel Christian held a modest 2-point edge at the beginning of the second quarter.
Mekeel Christian used a tough hard-nosed effort in the third quarter and outscored Burnt Hills by 15 points.
