Shaker used a strong second-half surge to pull away from Colonie and earn a 66–51 victory in a rematch of last year's sectional final that Colonie won.
The game was tight early, with Shaker holding a slim 14–10 lead after the first quarter and a 27–26 edge at halftime. Coming out of the break, the Blue Bison found another gear, outscoring Colonie 19–13 in the third quarter and then putting the game away with a decisive 20–12 run in the fourth.
Giada Lanni and Malia Jackson led the way for Shaker, each scoring 17 points. Peyton Hoblock added 11, while Sofia Lanni chipped in 10 to give Shaker four players in double figures. Aailay Powell contributed nine points, including a three-pointer, as Shaker’s balanced offense proved too much down the stretch.
Colonie was paced by Olivia Hoffman and Ella Trimarchi, who scored 15 points apiece. Gianna Lake added 13 points, knocking down three shots from beyond the arc.
