Niskayuna took care of business vs. Ballston Spa and secured a 68-42 victory in Section 2 quarterfinal action at Hudson Valley Community College. Niskayuna will take on Columbia in the Final Four of Class AA on 3/5/26 in Glens Falls.
After a competitive opening quarter, Niskayuna built a 36-21 halftime advantage behind balanced scoring and strong interior play. They continued to extend the lead in the third, pushing the margin to 56-34 before closing out the 26-point win in the fourth.
Brady Olsen led Niskayuna with a game-high 29 points. Will DiCaprio added 12 points, while Poem Staten chipped in 10. Jake McDonald contributed seven.
Ballston Spa was paced by Logan Janis with nine points. Logan Murtlow added seven points.

Columbia grabbed an early lead and pulled away from La Salle in the fourth quarter to earn a 67-54 victory in Class AA sectional action at Hudson Valley Community College. The third seeded Blue Devils now take on #2 Niskayuna on 3/5/26 in Glens Falls.
Columbia led 16-10 after the first quarter and 33-23 at halftime. La Salle stayed within striking distancel in the third quarter, cutting their deficit to 45-37 heading into the fourth. However, the Blue Devils closed strong with a 22-point final period to seal the 13-point win.
Kieren Poissant led the way for Columbia with 26 points. Andrew Mocerine added 15 points, while Matthew Gatchell chipped in 14.
La Salle was paced by Steven Mulinio with 19 points. Max Bender and Dante Lane each scored 13 each.

Colonie snatched the win over Niskayuna 72-55 in a clash of top teams in the Suburban Council. Julius Reed paced the victors popping in 22 points.
The Garnet Raiders used an impressive first eight minutes and sprinted out to a decent first quarter lead 22-10.
The Garnet Raiders were on top at every frame closures by separations of 12, 9, 18, & 17.
The Garnet Raiders placed three in double figure scoring. Julius Reed guided the Garnet Raiders with 22 points. Cam Trimarchi splashed in 14 points. Trey Owens Cody knocked down 12 points. Peter Tenney bagged 9 points. Andrew Hulett sank 8 points.

Green Tech used a dominant second half to pull away from Colonie and secure a 67-53 victory in the Class AAA quarterfinals at Hudson Valley Community College. The Soaring Eagles move on to face #1 seed CBA in Glens Falls on March 5th.
Green Tech led 14-12 after the first quarter. However, Colonie responded with a strong second quarter to take a 30-25 lead into the break. Green Tech responded coming out of the break outscoring the Wolfpack 17-5 in the third carrying a 42-35 lead into the fourth. A 25-point fourth quarter sealed the win and sent Green Tech on to the semifinals.
Carter Clay and Qwameik Smith had 18 points each for Green Tech. Giovanni Johnson poured in 16 points.
Colonie was paced by Jordan Wilcox with 14 points and Ethan Peck with 11.
