Saugerties survives in overtime against Burnt Hills.
-Dior Johnson scored 53 points to help Saugerties beat Burnt Hills 73-71 in a wild back and forth contest.
-Saugerties started quickly on a 12-2 spurt to open up its largest lead of the night. Burnt Hills then replied with their own 13-2 run to take a 15-14 lead on a Branson Otis basket to beat the 1st quarter buzzer.
-Dior Johnson nailed a three pointer with just over a minute left in the half to cut the Sawyers deficit to 1 at the half, 29-28
-An Aidan Giaguinto basket as the third quarter ended gave Burnt Hills a 47-44 lead heading into the final frame.
-Saugerties grabbed the lead midway through the 4Q and pushed the lead to 5, 57-52, with two minutes left in the game. Burnt Hills responded with 5 straight points from Jack Wyatt, to force overtime, including this clutch three pointer.
-In overtime Saugerties took the lead from the start and after back to back three pointers by Dior Johnson held a 69-65 advantage. Although never trailing in the extra session the Sawyers had to survive a furious Burnt Hills rally to hang on 73-71.

Voorheesville wins Class B clash.
-In a rematch of last year's Section 2 Class B final, Voorheesville defeated Tamarac 63-56.
-The Blackbirds used a 10-2 run late in the second quarter to turn a 3 point deficit to a 5 point haftime lead, 26-21, over Tamarac. It's a lead that they would never relinquish. Voorheesville were paced in scoring by Olivia Barringer's 21 points, Claudia Reilly added 12 points.
-Tamarac, which trailed by as many as 15 points in the second half, cut the deficit to four points with 5 minutes left in the game but would never get any closer. The Bengals had three players in double figure scoring led by Emily Erickson with 16 points, Syrita Faraj added 13 points and Jordyn Sorel chipped in with 10 points.

Shaker uses third quarter explosion to pull away from Guilderland .
-After 9 early lead changes, between the Blue Bison and the Lady Dutchmen, Shaker used a 30 point third quarter to help defeat Guilderland 64-54.
-With the game tied at 28 early in the second half the Blue Bison went on a 20-3 run to break open a tight Suburban Council contest. Sole Carrington scored 15 of her game high 22 points during the critical run and Jules DeBeatham capped off the high scoring 3rd quarter with a buzzer beating three pointer.

-Guilderland, which trailed by as many as 20 points in the 4th quarter, cut the deficit to 9 points with just under 2 minutes left in the game. However, that was as close as they would get in the final frame. Valencia Fontenelle-Posson led the Lady Dutchmen with 19 points and Graci Serravillo added 16 points.

Maple Hill tops Hudson in Patroon Conference showdown.
-Nate Mannion scored 22 of his game high 27 points in the first half as Maple Hill knocked off Hudson for the 2nd time this season.
-After Hudson jumped out to a quick 7-2 lead Maple Hill used a 12-2 spurt, towards the end of the 1st quarter, to take a lead they would never relinquish. Nate Mannion showed off a bunch of moves in the lane and Maple Hill's tough zone defense helped to push the Wildcat lead to 15 at the break, 42-27.
-Hudson which trailed by as many as 19 points in the third quarter would cut the lead to 10 early in the final frame but could never get the deficit to single digits. Lavon Fernandez led Hudson with 25 points, Noah Hedgepeth added 16 points and Leviticus Johnson chipped in with 11 points.

Cannoneers win battle over Cadets in Colonial Council action.
-Watervliet connected on 8 three pointers on the night, 5 by J.J Chestnut, as they went on to defeat La Salle 69-60.
The Cannoneers broke open a close game late in the first half with a decisive 10-2 run as they grabbed a 34-26 halftime lead. They built their largest lead of 17 in the closing minutes of the 3rd quarter and survived a strong fourth period from La Salle for the victory.
-Watervliet placed three players in double figures led by J.J. Chestnut's game high 23 points. Khari Croley added 20 points and Derrick Beason netted 11 points.
