 -Mohonasen got a huge game out of Chase Monroe and used a big third quarter to turn a halftime deficit into a lead they wouldn't relinquish on their way to a 62-57 victory over Averill Park. Mohonasen will take on Gloversville in the Class A semi-finals on Thursday, February 28th at the Cool Insuring Arena in Glens Falls.

 

-Averill Park was able to cut the Mohonasen fourth quarter lead to two points a couple times late in the game but could never retake the lead. The Warriors were led in scoring by Zach Price with 22 points and Thomas Hacker added 16 points. Hacker went down,with an apparent injury in the first two minutes of the contest but managed to come back into the game and play well.

 

-Mohonasen placed four players in double figure scoring and was led by Chase Monroe who finished with 22 points. Shawn Gillisslee added 14 points, Duncan Tallman 12 points and Timothy Febbie with 11 points.

 -Gloversville's star tandem of Dante Bouchard and Joey Rowback scored 19 points each and the Dragons defense limited Ballston Spa to two first half field goals winning 52-44 in the Class A quarter finals. Gloversville will take on Mohonasen in the Class A semi-finals on Thursday, February 28th at the Cool Insuring Arena in Glens Falls.

 

-Ballston Spa outscored Gloversville in the second half (28-25) but dug themselves too big of a hole in the first half to overcome. Luke Alteri led the Scotties with 23 points, Keegan Zoller added 10 points and Evan Fox had 9 points.

 

-Gloversville knocked down 8 three pointers on the night and were led by Dante Bouchard and Joey Rowback with 19 points each. Julien Deumaga added 9 points.

 -Joseph Girard III scored 66 points as Glens Falls defeated Watervliet 88-70 in Class B Semi-Final action. The Indians will take on Schalmont in the Class B Finals on Friday, March 1st at the Cool Insuring Arena in Glens Falls.

 

-The entertaining contest featured 15 first half lead changes and at one point Watervliet led by 8 (27-19) early in the second quarter. Glens Falls rallied before the half and a basket by the Indians Brendan Quirk gave Glens Falls a 39-38 lead they would never give up.

 

-Joseph Girard III led Glens Falls with 66 points, including 8 three pointers. Nicholas Danahy added 7 points.

 

-J.J. Chestnut led Watervliet with 27 points each. Messiah Mallory added 23 points.

 -Lake George placed five players in double figure scoring and won their 51st straight game beating Mayfield 69-44 in Class C sectional play. The Warriors will take on the winner of Tuesday's Hoosick Falls/Maple Hill game on Friday, March 1st at the Cool Insuring Arena in Glens Falls.

 

-Lake George dominated the first quarter jumping out to a 20-3 lead. Mayfield, to their credit, rallied to actually tie the game at 28-28 in the third quarter but Lake George closed the third frame on a 18-6 run to pull away for the win. The Warriors balanced attack placed five players in double figure scoring led by Alex Leonelli with 16 points, Chris Becker 14 points, Mason Flatley 13 points, Connor Vidnansky and Luke Pelcher with 10 points each. The team also made ten three pointers.

 

-Garret Delaney led Mayfield with 20 points. Trevon Gifford added 7 points.

 -Cambridge is heading back to the Class C Final with a 64-49 win over Warrensburg. The Indians will take on Hoosick Falls in the Class C Finals on Friday, March 1st at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy.

 

-Warrensburg got off to a hot start leading 13-7 towards the end of the first quarter, but Cambridge rallied with 29-5 run before the half to take a 36-18 halftime lead. Warrensburg rallied back a couple times in the 2nd half but the deficit stayed around double digits.

 

-Cambridge placed four players in double figure scoring led by Sophie Phillips with 20 points. Lilly Phillips added 13 points, Stacia Epler added 11 points and Ruth Nolan 10 points. The Indians were without injured star Fiona Mooney out with an injury.

 

-Megan Hughes led Warrensburg with 18 points. Abigail Ranous added 11 points.

Cron Job Starts
