 -After a Lake George basket by Graceann Bennett cut the Warriors deficit to one point (49-48), with just over five minutes left in the game, Maple Hill responded with a crucial 8-0 run and went on to win 60-52. The Wildcats now advance to the Class C semi-finals to play Hoosick Falls on Tuesday, February 26th at Colonie High School.

 

 -Maple Hill, which never trailed in the game, led by as many as 12 in the first half but had to withstand a 2nd half rally by Lake George.

 

-The Wildcats used a balanced attack placing three players in double figure scoring and had nine players enter the scoring column. Natasha Strock led Maple Hill with 13 points, Lydia Chittenden added 12 points, and Jenna Hoffman chipped in with 11 .

 

-Graceann Bennett scored a game high 24 points for Lake George. Mikayla Duffy added 10 points.

 -Grace Field poured in a game high 25 points as Holy Names never trailed in the game on their way to a 55-44 victory over Gloversville in the Class A tournament. Holy Names now advances to the semi-finals vs Averill Park on Wednesday, February 27th at Hudson Valley Community College at 5 p.m.

 

-Gloversville was able to cut the 2nd half deficit to 4 points on a Harmony Philo three point play with just over five minutes left in the game, however, they would never get closer. Kendra Lavery led Gloversville with 18 points, Harmony Philo added 16 points.

 

-Grace Field scored a game high 25 points for Holy Names. Saniyya Adams added 12 points.

 -Mayfield's two 1000 point career scorers, Garret Delaney and Trevon Gifford, combined for 62 of their team's 71 points helping the Panthers beat the Panthers of Chatham 71-56. Mayfield moves on to the semi-finals vs Lake George on Monday, February 25th at the Cool Insuring Arena, in Glens Falls, at 5 p.m.

 

-Garret Delaney scored 32 points including 5 three pointers while Trevon Gifford finished with 30.

 

-Chatham which never led in the game, never went away either. The Panthers trailing by double digits late in the third quarter used a 4th quarter rally to cut the deficit to five points with just over 2 minutes left in the game (58-53). That was as close as they would get as Mayfield outscored Chatham 13-3 to finish the game.

 

-JayShawn Williams had 19 points for Chatham. Keon Armstrong added 18 points and Kaleb Taylor finished with 9 points.

 -Jackson Atty scored 21 of Fonda's first 23 points on his way to a 40 point explosion helping the fifth seeded Braves knock off fourth seeded Catskill in Class B. Fonda now advances to the semi-finals vs Schalmont on Monday, February 25th at the Cool Insuring Arena, in Glens Falls, at 6 p.m.

 

-After Catskill scored the first basket of the game Fonda responded with a Jackson Atty three pointer and never trailed the rest of the game. Atty led the Braves with 40 points, Angelo Canale added 12 points.

 

-Catskill placed three players in double figure scoring led by Devon Haye with 17 points, Justice Brantley added 15 points and ninth grader Kellen Gibbs netted 13.

 -Maple Hill's trademark defense was on display as they held Granville scoreless for the last six minutes of the first half on their way to a 52-33 win. They used an 11-0 end of the first half run to take control of the game after being down 16-12, early in the 2nd quarter, against a good Granville team. The Wildcats move on to the Class C semi-finals vs Hoosick Falls on Tuesday, February 26th at the Cool Insuring Arena in Glens Falls.

 

-Rian Jewett led Maple Hill with 18 points and Nate Mannion added 17 points.

 

 

-Nick Sumner had 19 points for Granville. Jarett Williams finished with 11 points.
