Girls Varsity Final:
Game notes:
-Loudonville Christian jumped out to big lead at the end of the 1Q (21-7) behind 4 Mikyla Burnett three pointers.
-Germantown started the 2Q scoring the first 11 points to cut the 14 point first quarter deficit to 3 points with 3 minutes left in the half. They hold Loudonville Christian to 5 2Q points and trail 26-20 at the half.
-Loudonville Christian started the 3Q like they did the first and run out to their biggest lead of the game (15) with 2 minutes left in the 3Q. Germantown called timeout and scored the last 9 points of the 3Q to trail by 6 heading into the 4Q.
-The Loudonville Christian lead remained at 6 points with just 2 minutes left in the contest (42-36). Germantown’s Kylie Pudney then hit consecutive three pointers to tie the game with 1 minute left. After each team comes up empty on their final possessions the game went to overtime.
-Loudonville Christian took the lead in overtime (44-42) after 2 Kirsten Litchfield made free throws. Germantown responded with back to back three pointers by Hannah Byrnes & Kylie Pudney to take control of the overtime session. Final score: (OT) Germantown 51, Loudonville Christian 48

Colonie's Aliyah Wright made 2 free throws with 13 seconds left to give the Raiders a 5 point lead for the final margin. Wright paced Colonie with 15 points. -Mekeel Christian jumped out to an early 7-point lead (18-11) in the first 5 minutes of the 1Q. Deonte Holder scored 11 of the 18 points including 3 three pointers. Albany Academy went on a 7-0 run to end the quarter and the game was tied at 18 after 1 period.
-Albany Academy stiffened up their defense in the 2Q and outscores the Lions 16-6 to lead 34-24 at the half.
-The Cadets stretched their lead out to 20 with 2:50 left in the 3Q and headed into the 4Q up 54-35.
-Academy took their largest lead of the night (30) with 2 minutes left in the game and ended up winning 76-54. August Mahoney led the Cadets with 21 points, Marcus Filien scores 19. Deonte Holder is the high scorer for Mekeel Christian with 24.

Hudson broke open a tight game in the 2nd half to capture the highly anticipated early season match up vs Catskill.

-Hudson jumped out to a 16-9 1Q lead with 3:10 left in the period paced by 3 three pointers from Nytrell Franklin. Catskill battled back to close the quarter down 2 (18-16).
-After back to back buckets by Matthew Sweet Hudson opened up a 9 point lead in the 2Q with 3:51 remaining in the half. Catskill again closes the gap, this time, to 3 points at the half paced by a strong play from Willie Bartholomew and Justin Worth. Hudson’s Willie Jones sat the majority of the 1st half after a couple of early fouls.
-After a Catskill bucket by Devon Haye cut the Hudson lead to 2 (38-36), the Bluehawks went on a 20 to 9 run to head into the 4th quarter up by 13 (58-45).
-Hudson opened up its largest lead of the game, 17 points, early in the 4th and never let Catskill get the lead below double digits the rest of the game. Willie Jones and Jeremy Ramirez hit big 3 pointers as it looked like Catskill was gaining momentum. Ramirez connected on 5 three’s and finished with a game high 21 points. Jones and Nytrell Franklin chipped in with 11 points each. Catskill was led by Willie Bartholomew with 20 points and Justin Worth with 19. Catskill played the game without Yusef Abushqeir who was injured.
