
Shaker led from start to finish to pick up the road win over Bethlehem.

-After a slow starting first quarter, by both teams, the Blue Bison lead over the Eagles 10-8.
-With 3:30 left in the half a Devin Mahoney three pointer gives the Blue Bison their first double digit lead of the night. Michael Ortale hits 1 of his 4 three pointers, with less than 2 minutes left in the 2Q, to trim the Shaker lead to 5. Shaker extends lead to 7 at the half 28-21.
-Jakob Laclair of Bethlehem makes 3 of 4 free throws to start 3rd quarter to cut the deficit to 4 points. That would be as close as the Eagles would get in the 2nd half.
-Sloan Seymour’s 5th three-pointer of the night, early in the 4th quarter, gave the Blue Bison their largest lead of the night of 19 points. However, Bethlehem continued to fight and rallied to within 8 points with 1:20 left in the game. They even had a couple of good looks to get the game to 5 or 6 points but the shots didn't fall. Shaker made some free throws down the stretch to win the game by 12 (64-52)
-Sloan Seymour led the winners with 24 points. Jake Cook had 17 and Devin Mahoney finished with 15. Michael Ortale lead Bethlehem with 20 points. Erik Salo chipped in with 11 and Jakob Laclair had 10.

Shaker wins double overtime classic over Saratoga in Suburban Council action.

-After a slow start to the 1Q Shaker took a 16-12 lead on a Lexi Debeatham buzzer beater 3 at the end of the quarter.
-Shaker opened up an 8 point advantage with 3:00 left in the half but a three pointer by Saratoga’s Dolly Cairns quickly cuts the lead back to 5. Saratoga eventually drew even at 29-29, with 1:05 left in the half after a Amanda McGinn bucket. Shaker’s Shyla Sanford answered with a three pointer right before the half to give the Blue Bison a 32-29 lead at the half.
-Shyla Sanford connected on a three pointer early in the 3Q to start the 2H scoring. Maddy Malicki added another three pointer and with 6:23 left in 3Q Shaker took its largest lead of the night of 9 points. Saratoga’s Kerry Flaherty responded with 5 straight points to reduce the margin back to 4 points. Shaker led going into the 4Q 48-43.
-Shyla Sanford started the 4Q the same way she started the 3Q, with a three pointer boosting the lead to 8 points (51-43). Saratoga fought back with a 7-0 run to bring the score to 51-50. After 2 Lexi Debeatham free throws with 1:58 left in the game Shaker had a 5 point lead (57-52). 3 quick baskets by Ashley Rutz ,Briann Barringer and Kara Vamvalis of the Blue Streaks gave Shaker its first lead, since the 1Q, with 0:18 seconds left in the 4Q. After Shaker’s Maddy Malicki makes 1 of 2 free throws the game is tied and heads to overtime.
-Saratoga opened up a 4 point lead in overtime after a Briann Barringer basket with 2:21 left in the OT. Shaker’s Lexi Debeatham then buried a three pointer to cut the lead to 1 with 1:55 left in OT. After both teams trading free throws the game is tied until Saratoga’s Kara Vamvalis hit 2 free throws with 0:12 seconds left to give the Blue Streaks the lead (67-65). Following a Shaker timeout Lexi Debeatham tied the game at 67 with a layup sending the game to double overtime.
-In double overtime Julia Debeatham hit a three pointer to give Shaker a 4 point lead with 3:22 left in OT. Saratoga’s Kerry Flaherty responded with a layup and a foul shot to complete a three point play. With Saratoga now trailing by 1 Amanda McGinn gave the Blue Streaks a 1 point lead with 2:14 left. Julia Debeatham’s bucket with 1:21 left now puts Shaker up by 1. A free throw from Dolly Cairns ties the game at 73 with 0:46 left. A Shyla Sanford basket and 2 Maddy Malicki free throws seal the game for Shaker as they hold on to win 78-75.
-The game featured 13 lead changes and neither team had a lead of bigger than 9 points. Shaker made 11 three pointers. Saratoga shot 79% from the FT line (27-34)

Glens Falls survived Queensbury's 2nd half rally in Foothills Council action. Joseph Girard III scored 48 points in the win.
-Glens Falls jumped out to an early 18-10 lead with 2:19 left in 1Q after Trenton Girard's 2nd three-pointer of the period. Queensbury’s Jeffrey VanAnden hit a 3 at the 1Q horn to close the gap to 21-15, Glens Falls advantage. Joseph Girard III had 7 points and Trenton Girard 6 points.
-Trenton Girard starts the 2Q with 2 more three-pointers & Joseph Girard III scored 22 points in the quarter, including a buzzer beater 3, to give Glens Falls its largest lead of the game of 25 (61-36).
-Queensbury tightened up their defense in the 3Q and outscored the Indians 23-12 to cut the deficit to 14 points (73-59) heading into the 4Q. Jeffrey VanAnden, Bryce Bleibtrey, and Cameron Bleibtrey sparked the 3Q Spartan offense but it was a total team effort on both ends of the floor to get the Spartans back into contention.
-Glens Falls had a double-digit lead throughout the 1st 4 minutes of the 4Q as both teams spent most of the period at the foul line trading free throws. Queensbury finally got the deficit below 10 points after 2 Cameron Bleibtrey free throws with 3:43 left in the game. The Spartans continued their comeback and got the lead down to 5 points after a Bryce Bleibtrey three pointer with less than a minute left in the 4Q. Glens Falls did an outstanding job of making their free throws and went on to win 93-85.
The Indians made 10 three-pointers on the night and connected on 84% of their free throw attempts for the game (31-37). Queensbury made 8 three-pointers and shot 66% from the line (25-38)
