The Riverhawks of Coxsackie-Athens jumped out to a double digit first quarter lead and never looked back knocking off Ravena 78-39 in the season opener for both squads.
Coxsackie-Athens led by 11, 19, 32 and 39 at the end of each period.
Coxackie-Athens placed three players in double figure scoring. Baileigh Briski 24 points, Reaghan Hellen 18, Camryn Slater 17. Hayden Wolfe scored 16 points for Ravens of Ravena, Masey Raymond 14.

Averill Park used a big first half to notch a 46-36 win over Queensbury.
The Golden Knights led by 15 points at the break and withstood a strong fourth quarter push from the Spartans in victory. Tyler Bradley led the way with 22 points and Benicio Morelli added 9 points.
Marcus Gooden scored 16 points for Queensbury, Darian Willians chipped in with 10 points.

Mohonasen outscored South Glens Falls 14-5 in the third quarter to break open a close game on their way to a 59-36 win.
Zha'aier Dobbs paced Mohonasen with 17 points, Thomas Giantasio added 16 points.
Mike Moore led the Bulldogs with 14 points.

Albany Academy defeated Voorheesville 86-36 in Colonial Council play. This game featured two teams that won sectional titles last year in Class A (Academy) and Class B (Voorheesville).
The Bears jumped out to a 23-11 first quarter advantage and led 40-20 at the half.
Alex Leonard paced Albany Academy with 25 points, Amia Rodriguez 14 points, Annabel Conway 12 points, Morgan Vien 10 points.
Mia Carmody finished with 20 points for Voorheesville.
